School of Economics and Management

School Introduction

The School of Economics and Management was established in 2001. Its predecessor was the Academic Office of Management established in 1980 and the Department of Economics and Management established in 1993. There are 78 faculty members in the school, including 23 professors and 29 associate professors. 23 teachers have doctorate degrees.

There are four teaching departments, including business management, accounting, management science and engineering, and economics and trade. There are five teaching and research assistant units, including Modern Experimental Center, Research Institute of Petroleum Economics and Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Education Center, Master of Accounting (MPAcc) Education Center and School Library.

The school currently offer one doctor program which focuses on economics and management of oil and gas resources, one first-level master program which covers business management, technical economics and management, human resources management and accounting，two professional master programs, including master of business administration (MBA) and master of accounting (MPAcc), and nine bachelor programs, including business management, engineering management, accounting, financial management, marketing, international economy and trade, economics, human resources management and tourism management. Among the above, business administration is one of the provincial key disciplines, and the major of business administration is the key major at the provincial level. There are more than 2000 undergraduate students and more than 500 master students. The first-time employment rate is above 90%.

The school aims to build high-quality teaching group, to cultivate high-quality talents and to have high-level scientific achievements. It strives to build first-class talents training base in the regional economics and management field, and strives to make greater contribution to the regional economy and the sustainable development of petroleum and petrochemical industry.
